Ayantra has created a solution tailored for
managing out-of-sight industrial assets, such as construction and agricultural equipment.
The Challenge:
Industrial assets are often dispersed over a wide geography. Asset
utilization information for these machines is critical for effective
Project Management, Billing and Invoicing, and maintenance
purposes. Unfortunately, present methods of collecting asset
utilization information for these far-flung machines are manual,
inefficient, time-consuming and often error-prone. As a result,
many enterprises lose a significant portion of their assets’ value
due to wasted manpower, under-utilization, misplacement, faulty
maintenance, and occasionally catastrophic failure or theft.
Ayantra can help.
The Solution:
Ayantra’s FleetQuip is a cost-effective wireless monitoring solution that enables organizations to easily and
efficiently manage their out-of-sight assets.
The total solution consists of:
- A monitoring unit - called the MAT 410H - installed inside or on the machine
- An Ayantra-provided website to deliver asset location reports, maintenance reminders, asset utilization
information, asset history logs, and more
- Real-time Alert Notifications delivered as text message to cell phones, and/or via email
Web service and alert notifications:
- All reports and alerts are accessible through a simple web interface. The latest report from each machine is
immediately displayed upon login.
- Alert Notifications are targeted to specific recipients according to the type of violation. Alert Notifications can be
sent in the form of text messages to cell phones, and/or as email messages.
- A simple-to-use web interface allows you to control your asset tracking system. You can create custom Asset
Descriptions, specify Authorized Users, target the Alert Notifications to specific recipients, define report intervals,
and more.
- A History Log tracks and displays all communications to and from each asset.
Features & Benefits:
- Engine Run-Hour Reports: Ayantra automatically reports each time the machine’s engine is turned ON or OFF,
and the website automatically displays the up-to-date Engine Run-Hour information for each asset. The Engine
Run-Hour Reports enable you to:
- Reduce costs – schedule timely maintenance to prevent costly repairs and avoid breakdowns
- Save manpower – eliminate unnecessary trips to collect hour-meter readings
- Increase utilization efficiency – monitor asset utilization to ensure effective operation
- Ensure accuracy – automate Engine Run-Hour Reports to eliminate errors
- Jobsite Utilization Reports: Ayantra automatically reports each asset’s utilization by Jobsite. The Jobsite
Utilization Reports enable you to automate your Billing Operations and Jobsite Reports. Key features include:
- Create Custom Jobsites: You can easily specify up to 99 custom Jobsites.
- Jobsite Utilization Reports by Asset: You can easily ascertain which assets have been utilized at each
Jobsite - and how many Engine Run-Hours each asset accumulated at each Jobsite.
- Asset Utilization Reports by Jobsite: You can easily identify at which Jobsite each asset has been
utilized - as well as when it was utilized at each Jobsite, and how many Engine Run-Hours it
accumulated at each Jobsite.
- Maintenance Reports / Reminders: Ayantra automatically issues “Maintenance Due” reminders to advise you
of any scheduled maintenance activities. These reminders help you to avoid costly breakdowns, achieve optimal
performance, and extend the lifespan of your assets.
- Real-Time Updates: You can collect up-to-the minute updates from any machine, at any time.
- Utilization Reports: Ayantra’s Utilization Reports allow you to better understand how your assets are being
utilized. You can specify various intervals for your Utilization Reports.
- Alert Notifications: Ayantra provides real-time Alert Notifications that can be sent in the form of text
messages and/or as email messages. Alert Notifications are available for:
- Curfew violation – you have the ability to define a nightly “curfew” for each machine. Each curfew
violation will cause the system to report the event, and to automatically track your machine’s location.
- GeoFence violation – you can define a virtual security fence - called a GeoFence - around any
machine. The size of the GeoFence can be customized for each machine. Each GeoFence violation will
cause the system to automatically track your machine’s location.
- Low Battery notification – the monitoring unit will continually monitor your asset’s battery level, and
will issue a Low Battery Alert Notification if the battery weakens.
- Maintenance Due – you can specify different maintenance intervals for each machine, and receive
reminders when service is due.
- PowerSave Mode (Radio Off) – twenty minutes after the engine has been turned off, the monitoring unit will
turn off its GPS receiver and enter its PowerSave mode to reduce its electrical draw. To retain vigilance against
theft, once per hour the unit will briefly turn on its GPS receiver to check its location. All alerts and regularlyscheduled
reports will continue while the unit is in PowerSave mode.
- Live Track – you can command the system to automatically track any asset for a one-hour period, providing
location reports at five-minute intervals and displaying the machine’s position on a map.
- Back-up Battery – the built-in backup battery enables the monitoring unit to issue Battery Disconnect
notifications if the main battery is disconnected.
