Ayantra – a leading developer of remote asset management products – has created a solution for managing Onsite Backup Generators. Featuring Ayantra’s unique “Tru-Batt™” architecture, the FleetSentry-LITE solution reports key information about each generator – including its “true” battery level without input from the battery charger.
Backup generators must be carefully monitored to ensure that they will perform when needed. An effective monitoring solution should report the following:
In addition, an effective generator management solution should be easy to install, easy to use, and attractively priced.
FleetSentry-LITE is a web-based wireless monitoring system for managing onsite backup generators. FleetSentry-LITE can support any make or model of generator. With the average cost of a truck roll @ $75 or more, remote generator monitoring starts to pay for itself right away.
- Status of Site Power
- Status of Utility Power
- Generator Status
- True Voltage Level (without the battery charger)
- Confirmation that the generator has exercised properly
The total solution consists of
- A FleetSentry-LITE monitoring unit installed on the generator
- Ayantra-provided wireless messaging services
- An Ayantra-provided website to deliver information about each monitored generator
CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING ANY MAKE OR MODEL OF GENERATOR, INCLUDING CUMMINS, CAT, KOHLER, GENERAC, MTU ONSITE ENERGY, AND OTHERS.
SENDS DAILY UPDATES plus ACTIVITY-BASED UPDATES
Each FleetSentry-LITE monitoring unit sends a regularly-scheduled update each day, plus activity-based updates as events occur.
AUTOMATICALLY REPORTS ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
- Availability of Site Power
- Availability of Utility Power
- Generator Status (Stopped / Running in Exercise Mode / Running in Outage Mode)
- Generator Fault
- Battery Level (accurate Battery Voltage Level reported via Tru-Batt technology)
BATTERY REPORTS / BATTERY ALARMS
Utilizing Ayantra’s unique “Tru-Batt” technology, FleetSentry-LITE reports the generator’s true Battery Voltage Level (meaning the Battery Level is measured without any assistance from the battery charger). FleetSentry-LITE can also send real-time Alert Notifications if any battery problems occur.
REPORTS BATTERY OR ALTERNATOR PROBLEMS
FleetSentry immediately detects battery and alternator problems, and can send Alert Notifications if the battery goes low or is disconnected, or if the alternator should fail.
REAL-TIME FAULT REPORTS AND ALERT NOTIFICATIONS
The FleetSentry-LITE monitoring unit features
two user-configurable digital inputs to report Faults, such as “Common Alarm” and “Low Fuel.” Each Fault event can trigger real-time Alert Notifications sent as text messages and/or as email messages directed to specific recipients.
VERIFY EXERCISE EVENTS
FleetSentry-LITE automatically reports if a generator has failed to run for at least five minutes during the specified exercise interval, and can even send Alert Notifications for “Failure to Run.”
FleetSentry-LITE can send “Service Due” reminders as the generator approaches its service interval. Service intervals are user-configurable by Date and/or by Engine Run-Hours. The “Service Due” reminders can be sent as text and/or as email messages to specific recipients.
ENGINE ON / OFF UPDATES
The FleetSentry-LITE monitoring unit automatically reports each time the generator is turned ON and OFF. Each “Engine ON” event can trigger an Alert Notification sent as a text and/or email message.
Authorized users can collect up-to-the minute updates from any machine, at any time.
FleetSentry-LITE produces detailed utilization reports for facilities management purposes, and for compliance with state and local emissions reporting requirements.
