Wireless Remote Asset Management - Solution for Managing Chillers

Fremont, CA
September 9, 2008

Ayantra, Inc., a Fremont CA-based technology company, announced the release of its FleetChiller solution for managing industrial chillers.

Ensuring optimal performance for onsite chillers can strain a service organization’s resources, especially when the chillers are geographically dispersed. Trailer-mounted units can be moved from site to site, making them even more difficult to support. Recognizing the challenge, Ayantra developed FleetChiller specifically for managing remote and/or transportable chiller units.

FleetChiller utilizes GPS, wireless and web technologies to enable service managers to easily monitor their fixed and transportable chillers. The solution features an Ayantra-provided monitoring unit that is installed onto each chiller; wireless communications provided by Ayantra; and an Ayantra-provided website. Ayantra describes the program as "A complete, end-to-end solution that includes all hardware, software and services."

An Ayantra spokesman summarized FleetChiller as follows: "This solution provides the information that service managers require to manage their chillers on a day-to-day basis. It answers their key questions, such as: Is the chiller running or not? Are both compressors running, or is one of them offline? What is the water temperature coming in and going out? Is the chiller malfunctioning in any way?"

The Ayantra spokesman added: "Real-time performance information about each chiller will enable service managers to streamline their operations, reduce their costs and improve overall efficiency. We believe that for most organizations that have geographically dispersed chillers, there is a very strong value proposition for implementing the FleetChiller solution."

FleetChiller joins Ayantra's FleetSavvy suite of wireless solutions for managing industrial assets. Other members of the FleetSavvy suite include FleetQuip (for managing Heavy Equipment), FleetGen (for managing Generators), FleetPump (for managing Pumps), and FleetCrane (for managing Cranes).
