Fleet managers must understand each trailer’s location and its compliance with temperature control objectives. Unfortunately, current methods for managing trailers are often expensive, inefficient, time-consuming and ineffective.

The Remote Refrigeration Trailer Monitoring Solution:
Ayantra's FleetReefer is a web-based wireless solution for managing refrigerated trailers. FleetReefer can support any make or model of refrigerated trailer, including hybrid fleets. It provides timely information about each reefer’s Location, Status, and Temperature. FleetReefer can issue real-time Alert Notifications if Temperature Limits are violated, or if other problems occur.
The complete refrigerated trailer telemetry solution consists of:
- An Ayantra monitoring unit installed on the reefer. The monitoring unit includes a GPS system, a cellular radio, a GPS/Cell antenna, an integrated backup battery, and a temperature sensor.
- An Ayantra-provided website to deliver Temperature Plots, Location Reports, Status Reports, History Logs, Maps, and other management info. The website can issue real-time Alert Notifications if any problems occur, including Temperature Violations.
Key Features
- STATUS UPDATES: FleetReefer issues "Activity-Based" updates based upon the reefer's activity, plus regularly-scheduled updates. Each update includes the reefer’s Location, Status, Temperature, and Battery Level. Reports are issued as:
- Protection Mode ON/OFF - The FleetReefer website displays the status of each reefer by indicating if its Protection Mode is ON or OFF.
- Protection Mode ON - Each remote monitoring unit sends a message when the reefer's Protection Mode is turned ON, and while in this mode, it automatically sends Location, Temperature and Status updates every ten minutes.
- Protection Mode OFF - Each remote monitoring unit sends a message when the reefer's Protection Mode is turned OFF, and while in this mode, it sends Location, Temperature and Status updates every thirty minutes.
- Updates On-Demand - Users can collect real-time updates from any reefer that has its Protection Mode ON, at any time via any web browser or digital cell phone.
- TEMPERATURE MONITORING: Each FleetReefer monitoring unit includes a temperature sensor which continually monitors the reefer’s temperature. Authorized users can set High and Low temperature limits for each monitored reefer. Temperature Violations are reported immediately, and ongoing temperature updates are reported to the Ayantra server at regular intervals. The website produces a variety of management reports, including "electronic strip-charts", "Temperature Graphs" and other performance summaries.
- REEFER HOURS: The FleetReefer monitoring unit detects each time the reefer enters its Protection Mode, and reports the accumulated Reefer Hours to ensure timely maintenance services.
- COMPRESSOR FAULTS: The FleetReefer monitoring unit can report compressor Faults as they occur.
- ALERT NOTIFICATIONS: Each performance violation - including Temperature Violations, GeoFence Violations, Low Battery, etc. - will trigger an immediate update to the Ayantra server. Each performance violation can trigger an immediate Alert Notification message issued as a text message and/or as an email.
- TRACK REPORTS: Authorized users can create custom Track Reports to examine each reefer's path and performance at any time over the previous twelve months. Track Reports can be used to confirm compliance with route objectives; or for Customer Billing, Fleet Management, or other operational requirements.
- HISTORY LOG: Each reefer's location and status information is retained in the Ayantra database for twelve months, enabling authorized users to examine its performance over an extended period of time. The historical information can be used to confirm the reefer's compliance with regulatory requirements; or for Customer Billing, Fleet Management, and other operational applications.
